App subscriptions

Some applications charge a weekly fee in game dollars. A subscription pays for a service; downloading an app places it on your desktop. These subscriptions are separate from real-money Premium membership.

Choose a service

ServicePurposeStandard weekly price
Security CenterSecurity overview, Lockdown and intrusion countermeasures for one server.$2,000
SentinelAutomatic detection and interception using running protection software. Requires Security Center.+$5,000
SpamShieldFilter unwanted mail and spam offers for your player account.Basic $50, Plus $100, Pro $200

The App Store shows the current offers. An existing subscription keeps its agreed weekly price. Check the confirmation when changing a plan; prices and prorated charges can differ from a new full week.

Subscribe and start

  1. Open the App Store and choose Manage on the application.
  2. Select the server or plan where offered, then a bank account you own.
  3. Review the cost and confirm. A paid week lasts seven real days, including time spent logged out.
  4. Download the application if it is not installed yet. Start Sentinel explicitly and keep the matching protection program running. SpamShield starts filtering after payment unless you have switched the filter off.

Security Center and Sentinel share a renewal date on the same server. Adding Sentinel partway through a paid week charges only for the remaining period, rounded up to a whole game dollar. A collective subscription belongs to the collective server; managing it requires the appropriate collective role.

Renew, change or cancel

The management window shows your modules or plan, paying account, next payment and renewal status. Keep enough money in that account. An unrelated account balance does not automatically cover a failed renewal.

Cancellation stops the next renewal and leaves the paid period available. Sentinel can be cancelled separately. Cancelling the base Security Center subscription also ends renewal of its add-on. Stop on a running service releases its resources; it does not cancel payment renewal. Turning off SpamShield's filter likewise keeps its subscription.

If the full renewal cannot be paid, the service expires without debt. Reactivation buys a new week; missed weeks are not charged. SpamShield upgrades apply immediately with a prorated charge, while downgrades take effect at renewal.

Resets and unavailable services

An IP change or disk reset does not restart your paid week. Download erased apps again for free, then check whether their services need starting. Paid subscriptions end with the game round.

If a service is temporarily unavailable, read its current status before trying to subscribe again. The Software Exchange is a different purchase: you buy a particular file copy rather than an ongoing service.
