The terminal is another way to use your game apps. Actions affect the same files, money, connections and tasks as clicks on the desktop. You can switch between both while playing.
Choose your command style
Kali uses Linux-style commands; PowerShell uses its corresponding command style. Both have a simple mode with shorter game commands. Choose the profile and mode in Settings or through the terminal controls.
These are commands understood by Terminal Rebels, not a shell on your real computer. Arbitrary scripts, shell pipelines and operating-system commands are not supported simply because they work in a real terminal.
Help without the wall of text
Start with help and choose a section. Narrow it down with help software or help network. Command help lists parameters, requirements and an example. Kali also supports man; PowerShell supports Get-Help.
Check which values a command expects. A file ID is useful when names contain spaces or several files share a name. Quote text as shown in the command's example. Required confirmations also work in the console.
Time bonuses
Eligible tasks started through the console receive the displayed console bonus. Simple mode has a separately configured bonus. Reading a page or repeatedly issuing a status command does not earn extra money or speed. Protection periods, cooldowns and boot times keep their own timing.
Watch work in Task Manager, and manage remote sessions through Connections. Downloaded apps add their own commands to the available help.
