TERMINAL REBELS / WIKI

Rebel IRC

Download Rebel IRC from the App Store, open it and join #lobby. Use your player name or choose Anonymous for a Ghost alias. Premium players keep their star in either mode. Anonymous changes the visible identity; it does not make the game infrastructure traceless.

Rooms and messages

Choose a room, read the conversation and send a message. Earlier messages loads more available history. Messages remain for seven days. New members of private rooms see messages from their arrival onward.

You can create up to three public or private rooms. Room tools let the owner set a topic, invite players, remove or ban participants and close a room. Private rooms accept invitations or a current access code. The owner can renew that code once per 24 hours; code guests lose access while invited members keep it. Changing an alias does not bypass a ban.

Moderation

Supporters and admins can delete messages for everyone and use Chat block to impose or lift a posting restriction. The chat offers 15 minutes, one hour, 24 hours or seven days. Blocked players see when it ends and can still read. The restriction applies in every room, including after reconnecting or changing aliases. This does not give supporters access to other people's private rooms.

Connections and interruptions

Closing the chat window or browser keeps your game server connected. Leave room exits one room; Disconnect or /quit disconnects IRC. The Connection Manager can also end the session.

RebelNet's core and relays are protected game servers. Compromised infrastructure may expose partial game-IP traces or other clues; these are not players' real internet addresses. Private access is worth protecting too.

When multiple network nodes are offline, chat can briefly disconnect. If every node is down, the service is unavailable. It reconnects when service returns, preserving your alias and unsent draft during the interruption.

IRC commands

Use /help in chat, /join #lobby to join, /anon on to switch identity and /part to leave the current room. The terminal also supports chat actions; help chat lists its commands.
